Civil Liberties in Times of Crisis: The Japanese American Incarceration

Civil Liberties in Times of Crisis: The Japanese American Incarceration explores the historical significance and enduring legacy of the World War II Japanese American incarceration experience. Centered in the historic Little Tokyo neighborhood in Los Angeles at the Japanese American National Museum (JANM), the program includes day trips to Santa Anita Park (a previous temporary “assembly center”) and Manzanar National Historic Site (one of the ten permanent WWII “internment” camps).
